QUALITY FROM THE FIRST STITCH
Some things remain timeless. Every pair of HWC shoes are made with the same quality construction that has been praised for centuries. Every shoe is produced using a Goodyear Welt or Bologna Construction to ensure premium quality, comfort and a long life.
GOODYEAR WELT CONSTRUCTION
Goodyear Welt construction is one of the oldest, most durable shoe crafting techniques. The construction process refers to a strip of leather that is stitched to the upper and the insole of the shoe. Using two separate threads, the soles are lock-stitched to the welts for maximum strength and durability. Goodyear Welting ensures quality and durability, it also allows the shoe to be dismantled, repaired and resoled if need be. A HWC Goodyear welted shoe will last you a lifetime.
Bologna Construction is a quality method that provides superior comfort. The process takes the leather upper section of the shoe, wraps it around the bottom and is then sewn together. The sole is sewn directly to the upper portion of the shoe. With this process, the sole never touches your feet as you are surrounded by soft leather. A HWC Bologna Constructed shoe will be the most comfortable shoe you own.
